To coordinate the efforts of the Republic of Belarus to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated May 25, 2017 No. 181 “On the National Coordinator for Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals” established the Institute of the National Coordinator for Achieving the SDGs.
The SDG National Coordinator organizes consideration of various aspects of achieving Sustainable Development Goals, makes recommendations on how to improve this process, holds events to promote SDGs and reports annually to the President on progress in achieving the SDGs. He also represents Belarus at the international level, reporting on progress in the SDGs achievement.
Now, the position of National Coordinator for Achieving the SDGs is held by Vladislav Tatarinovich, Deputy Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus. He was appointed by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated November 19, 2025, No. 405 “On the National Coordinator for Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals”.
During the period from June 17, 2024 to November 19, 2025, the position of National Coordinator for Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals was held by Sergey Khomenko.
During the period from March 9, 2023 to June 17, 2024, the position of National Coordinator for Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals was held by Valery Belsky.
During the period from 21 February 2022 to 9 March 2023, the position of National Coordinator on achieving Sustainable Development Goals was held by Leonid Zayats.
During the period from 13 February 2020 to 21 February 2022, the position of National Coordinator on achieving Sustainable Development Goals was held by Anatoly Isachenko.
During the period from 25 May 2017 to 13 February 2020, the position of National Coordinator on achieving Sustainable Development Goals was held by Marianna Shchetkina.
