15 September 2021

On September 9, 2021, within the framework of the meeting of the Council for Sustainable Development, a 4th year student of the Faculty of History, Youth Ambassador of SDG 4 «Quality Education» Rachilovsky Nikita presented the results of the «Sustainable Summer» project initiated by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus in June 2021.

The main idea of the project was that the Youth Ambassadors of the SDGs visited health and educational institutions and held a number of events for their pupils in order to familiarize children with the history of the SDGs, the content and objectives of each of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, the architecture of managing the process of achieving the SDGs in our country as well as the role and responsibilities of the SDG Youth Ambassadors.

The key event of the project was the world cafe «Youth perspective on advancing the Sustainable Development Goals», where participants could discuss ideas and their contribution to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

Within the framework of this project, 11 events were held, in which more than 230 schoolchildren took part.

The project became an effective form of popularizing the SDGs: the guys not only got acquainted with the content of the global goals, but were also able to think about what each of us can do to achieve them.
