Results of the activities of the SDG Youth Ambassadors of the IV convocation

26 December 2025

To coordinate the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development by the Republic of Belarus, the country has formed an architecture for managing the process of achieving the SDGs, which includes the Institute of Youth Ambassadors of the Sustainable Development Goals.

The Institute of Youth Ambassadors of the Sustainable Development Goals is represented by active youth leaders — students of secondary specialized and higher education institutions.

The term of each convocation of SDG Youth Ambassadors is two years. The team is being formed as part of the contest “Youth Ambassadors of the Sustainable Development Goals — Future of the Planet is In Our Hands”, based on the results of which a team of 17 SDG Youth Ambassadors and their stand-ins is being formed.

In the period from 2024 to 2026, SDG Youth Ambassadors of the fourth convocation carry out their activities. During this period they have successfully implemented a range of projects at the international, national and regional levels. Among the most significant:

  • Project “Sustainable University”
The project was implemented on the basis of 12 institutions of higher education and was held in the format of educational intensive courses in three areas: social, environmental and economic. Its target audience was university students, and its main goal was to promote the 2030 Agenda among students. The initiative attracted about five hundred students and contributed to the formation of the movement “SDG Volunteers”.
  • Project “Sustainable Summer”
The project was implemented on the basis of about 50 health and school camps throughout Belarus and included exciting interactive classes on sustainable development. The total coverage of the events over 2 years was about 1,000 people.
  • Festival “SDG Movement”
The project consisted of conducting a large-scale entertainment program on the topic of sustainable development, which included interactive quests at 17 stations, each of which was dedicated to a separate SDG. In two years, the festival has reached about 10 thousand people and has garnered more than 2 million views on social media.

SDG Youth Ambassadors of the fourth convocation also took an active part in international events, including the World Youth Festival in Sochi, the Baikal International Youth Forum in the Irkutsk Region, the Territory of Meanings Youth Educational Forum, the Second Global Youth Festival of Digital (Green) Initiatives in Tashkent, the International Forum of SDG Volunteers and others.

Through the implementation of projects of various scales and active participation in SDG–themed events, SDG Youth Ambassadors not only raise youth awareness of the 2030 Agenda, but also provide people with the knowledge and skills necessary to adapt and thrive in the 21st century, contributing to the integration of sustainable development principles into the daily lives of citizens.
