In accordance with the provisions of this resolution, the General Assembly proclaims the period 2027-2036 as the International Decade of Strengthening of Peace for Future Generations. The goal of this Decade is to promote peace, promote dialogue and reconciliation, and support intergenerational interaction between children, youth, and the elderly to ensure that the needs and interests of future generations are considered in policy–making and decision-making processes.
