VIII International Investment Forum “Mogilev Region — Territory of Opportunities” was held in Mogilev region

On September 23, 2026, the VIII International Investment Forum “Mogilev Region — Territory of Opportunities” was held in the Mogilev region.

The Forum focused on promoting sustainable tourism as an important contribution to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, strengthening economic growth through the use of the region’s tourism potential, involving young people in the sustainable development of Mogilev Oblast and expanding partnership to achieve Sustainable Development Goals.

The Forum was attended by 78 people (22 of whom were youth representatives), including representatives of the regional and district executive committees, administrations of free economic zones, the private sector, financial institutions, public organizations of the Republic of Belarus, as well as representatives of the Russian Federation.


The Forum program included two sections and a plenary session.

The section “Investments in rural tourism: from the estate to the brand of the territory, as a contribution to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda” included an introduction to the “Gray Neck” agricultural estate, a presentation of a video guide to the tourist sites of the Mogilev region, as well as speeches by representatives of the regional and district executive committees, tourism organizations and the banking sector. The section presented trends in domestic tourism, the tourist potential of the Mogilev region and investment sites for the construction of tourist facilities, innovations in the legislation of the Republic of Belarus in the field of agroecotourism, a project to create a tourist area with campsites, credit support programs for agroecotourism entities, information on the role of museums in sustainable regional development and the activities of the “Mogilev Region” tourist information center.

The section “Youth as a driver of sustainable development” was devoted to the role of young people in the localization of Sustainable Development Goals. The section presented investment opportunities of the Pskov Municipal District of the Russian Federation, investment conditions in the Republic of Belarus, measures to support small and medium-sized businesses, as well as the advantages of implementing projects in the FEZ “Mogilev”.

The Forum’s plenary session discussed key issues of sustainable development of the Mogilev region and opportunities for public-private partnership and cooperation with the Russian Federation, as well as the investment climate and investment conditions in the Republic of Belarus, measures to support small and medium-sized businesses under the State Program “Sustainable Entrepreneurship” for 2026-2030, and tools for the development of nationally oriented businesses based on knowledge and innovation, as well as the advantages of implementing investment projects in the Mogilev region, including the FEZ “Mogilev”.


The Forum also included the signing of four protocols and a number of cooperation agreements. During the seven years of the investment forum, 142 official documents were signed, including 76 agreements on attracting investments into the region’s economy, 32 contracts for the supply of products from the region’s enterprises for export, and 34 agreements on continuing cooperation.

The Forum was organized by the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee with the support of the United Nations Development Programme in the Republic of Belarus as part of the Joint Project “Support to the Efforts of the Republic of Belarus in Nationalization and Localization of SDGs”, funded by the Russian Federation.
