Presently, the development of regional sustainable development strategies for the period until 2040 (RSDS) is underway in Belarus. In order to support the regional executive committees in this work, Methodological recommendations on the development of the RSDS in the Republic of Belarus were prepared.
The Methodological recommendations are based on international and national experience in the development of sustainable development strategic documents, as well as the results of the research work of the State Scientific Research Institute of Economic Research of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus on methodological support of local executive and administrative bodies in the process of long-term and medium-term planning.
Methodological recommendations for the development of the RSDS were prepared with the support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in the Republic of Belarus within the framework of the Joint Project “Support to the Efforts of the Republic of Belarus in Nationalization and Localization of SDGs”, funded by the Government of the Russian Federation.
The development of regional sustainable development strategies will make an important contribution to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
