In order to integrate the concept and principles of education for sustainable development into the content of educational programs of higher education institutions, as well as the formation of values and competencies among young people that ensure the sustainable development of society and the state, the training curriculum for specialists with higher education and the educational and methodological manual “Integrating the principles of education for sustainable development into the content of training of specialists with higher education” have been developed Belarus.
The training curriculum for professional development of teaching staff “Integrating the principles of education for sustainable development into the content of training specialists with higher education” is designed for 36 hours. It includes three sections aimed at studying the basics of scientific and methodological support for university educational programs, the issues of sustainable development and education for sustainable development, as well as methodological aspects of integrating the principles of education for sustainable development into the content of training specialists with higher education.

The manual also provides examples of training tasks, including competence-oriented tasks for each of the 17 SDGs, developed on the basis of an analysis of existing curricula, educational and methodological complexes in academic disciplines of a number of higher education specialties.
Professional development programs of specialists with higher education on the subject of the 2030 Agenda contributes to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of the Sustainable Development Goals 4, 8 and other SDGs.
The training curriculum for professional development of teaching staff and the methodological manual “Integrating the principles of education for sustainable development into the content of training of specialists with higher education” were developed with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Belarus within the international technical assistance project “Support to the Efforts of the Republic of Belarus in Nationalization and Localization of SDGs”, funded by the Government of the Russian Federation.
