On May 22, 2026, the Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank (BSPU) hosted a presentation of projects and an award ceremony for the winners of the IV Republican contest “Young Friends of the SDGs”, the final stage of the educational project “Lessons of Sustainable Development”.

During the event, 32 winners of the contest presented their youth socially significant initiatives implemented during their participation in the project. The defense was held in an “Open Microphone” format: students answered questions from the audience, shared their impressions of lessons on the SDGs for younger students and talked about future plans to promote the ideas of sustainable development among young people.

The SDG marathon became an interactive part of the program, which included four thematic stations: “Сonsideration”, “Famous Women of Belarus”, “Associations” and “Pictographs”. This format allowed the participants to show erudition, creativity and teamwork.

In the 2025-2026 academic year, the project “Lessons of Sustainable Development” brought together more than 250 students of specialized teaching classes from 69 institutions of general secondary education in all regions of the country. Participation in the project helped students to better understand the meaning of sustainable development, realize their personal responsibility for achieving the SDGs and gain practical experience in implementing social initiatives.

The Republican educational project “Lessons of Sustainable Development” was organized and conducted by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus and BSPU with the support of UNICEF within the framework of the Joint Project “Support for the efforts of the Republic of Belarus in the nationalization and localization of Sustainable Development Goals”, funded by the Russian Federation.
