On September 9, 2021, a regular meeting of the Council for Sustainable Development was held in Minsk, which was attended by members of the Council for Sustainable Development, parliamentary and regional groups, the UN country team, as well as representatives of public organizations.
The main purpose of the meeting was to summarize the work of the national architecture for managing the process of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, discuss plans for the future and the most important problems facing the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.
The national coordinator for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, Anatoly Isachenko, in his opening speech emphasized the importance of the Sustainable Development Goals for each individual, despite their global nature and the importance of the unity of government and civil society.
